New COPS PhD-student: Niels Alferink
Niels Alferink has joined the COPS chair as a PhD student on October 21st, 2024. Last July, he graduated at COPS for his Master degree on phase- and position- resolved optical reflection matrices. He will now be working in the OPTIC (Optical coherence; optimal delivery and positioning) Perspectief program led by Willem Vos.

Joost van de Oudenrijn finishes nanophotonics project
Last week, Joost van de Oudenrijn finished a practical project as part of the nanophotonics experiments program. Joost worked on total transmission and reflection measurements of 3D photonic bandgap crystals using integrating spheres. His works yielded impressive results which will be further studied in the future!
