Melissa completed her PhD in all things lactam at Durham University in 2017 before joining the University of Twente as a post-doc in the Molecular NanoFabrication and Biomolecular NanoTechnology chairs (Profs. Jurriaan Huskens and Jeroen Cornelissen). At COPS she is a staff scientist notably on the nanofabrication of 3D photonic band gap crystals and superlattices, previously funded by the NWO-TTW Perspectief program “Free-form Scattering Optics (FFSO)” (in collaboration with the TUE and TUD, and with ASML, Signify, Lumileds, TNO, Demcon, and Schott). She is also parttime affiliated with the MESA+ Nanolab.
