New COPS member Timon Vreman
Timon Vreman has started as a new PhD student at COPS. During his master’s, Timon has worked on wavefront shaping the reflectivity of photonic band gap crystals. Now, he will work on measuring the local density of states in finite-size photonic quasicrystals under the supervision of prof. dr. W.L. Vos.

Masters’ thesis defense of Timon Vreman
On July 8, 2021, Timon Vreman successfully defended his masters’ thesis titled “Shaping waves in 3D photonic band gap crystals” and obtained MSc degree in Applied Physics. The thesis work was carried out under the supervision of Manashee Adhikary and Willem Vos.

André de Mots and Bert Mulder obtain their bachelor’s in Applied Physics
On July 8th, 2021, both André de Mots and Bert Mulder obtain their bachelor’s degrees in Applied physics. Their theses are titled ‘High precision phase measurement setup for mutual extinction’ and ‘Correlations in Scattering Diffusers for Li-Fi Technology’, respectively. Both students were supervised by Alfredo Rates and Prof. Willem Vos. Congratulations!
