Prof. Willem Vos

On Friday 21 October 2020, João Ricardo Gonçalves Martins has successfully presented his research project “Study of the Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) in ensembles of colloidal PbS quantum dots emitting in the near-infrared spectral range.” Therefore, he has been awarded the MSc degree by the Departamento de Fisica of the Universidade do Minho in Braga, Portugal. Joao did the experimental part of the research at COPS (University of Twente) guided by Willem Vos; Christian Blum (NBP), Richard Engbers (MNF), Cornelis Harteveld, Andreas Schulz and Matthijs Velsink are kindly thanked for help and the EU is thanked for support by means of an Erasmus fellowship. Upon returning to Universidade do Minho, Joao performed extensive theoretical and numerical analyses of the observations, guided by prof. Mikhail Vasilevsky. Profs. Mario Berberan Santos, Jose Viana Gomes, Maria Cerqueira, and Nuno Castro are kindly thanked for taking part in the jury.
