This week Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede held its 2024 International Projectweek. This is a large vibrant event where many teams of enthusiastic students are offered challenges to “sink their teeth in”. As part of the Projectweek, COPS staff Cock Harteveld, Geert Kamphuis, Melissa Goodwin, and Willem Vos supervised projects in optics, mechanics, mechatronics, nanofabrication, and self-organization, where in total 9 groups participated. On Wednesday an impressive number of students visited COPS to obtain live advice and feedback, visit the labs to get a closer view at setups (for which solutions are sought).

Since we were lucky to have some sunshine, we took a nice group snap. Having heard rumors of “the best espresso on campus”, we had the pleasure of presenting our visitors the output of our legendary 3-piston Vibiemme that brewed 45+ espresso’s in no time flat.
