ANP group 2019: in front of Coevorden castle

The group of all UT opticians, Applied NanoPhotonics (ANP) gathered for its 10th retreat at the castle in Coevorden to inform each other on recent developments in nanophotonics. Two invited external speakers, Alex Szameit (Rostock) and Bart Kuyken (Ghent) gave excellent lectures on topological photonics and on frequency-comb generation. COPS was well represented by talks from Reinier van de Meer, Sjoerd Hack and an after-dinner talk on pop band Physics by Chris Toebes. The meeting was organised by three students, including from COPS Marek Kozon and the founding program director of then the MESA+ Strategic Research Orientation ANP, Pepijn Pinkse.
