Recently, Lars van der Hoeven en Jasper van den Hoogen have started their bachelor projects.
Lars is currently working under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Pepijn W. H. Pinkse and master student Matthijs Velsink. The thesis revolves around the use of a multimode fibre (MMF) as a physical unclonable function applicable in quantum encryption methods that utilize temporal wave front shaping. In particular the thesis investigates how the speckle pattern at the output of the MMF changes in terms of intensity and phase shift as the wavelength of the light inserted into the MMF is varied.
Jasper will try to detect Förster Resonance Energy Transfer between quantum dots emitting in the near infrared.
