COPS scientists found quantum startup QuiX
Cops scientists Ad Lagendijk, Willem Vos, Pepijn Pinkse, and Jelmer Renema together with Klaus Boller (LPNO) have teamed up to create the startup QuiX, “the fastest way to a quantum future”. QuiX’s goal is to build the first quantum photonic processor based on silicon nitride waveguides. QuiX was launched with support of the pre-seed investor RAPH2INVEST. CTO Jelmer Renema emphasizes: “ Our PIC technology is based on the proprietary TripleX technology of LioniX International. Their ultralow loss waveguide technology enables us to produce sufficiently large matrices to facilitate complex calculations and thereby outperform classical computers.”
