Observation of multifractality at the Anderson localization transition of ultrasound in open three-dimensional media
| Abstract | We report the experimental observation of strong multifractality in wavefunctions below the Anderson localization transition in openthree-dimensional elastic networks. Our results confirm the recentlypredicted symmetry of the multifractal exponents. We have discoveredthat the result of multifractal analysis of real data depends on theexcitation scheme used in the experiment. |
